About the Role

Your role will be to increase awareness and adoption of YugabyteDB, Yugabyte Platform and Yugabyte Cloud using technical and business content/evangelism. You excel at influencing the product roadmap by bringing market and customer insights to R&D, while also creating and curating highly relevant content and messaging for software engineers, database architects, CTOs and business leaders. You know how to break down and get inside different architectures and approaches to uncover the “why” and educate on the engineering as well as business trade-offs and implications. And you’re a strong collaborator and team player who works closely with Product Managers, Developer Advocates and Solution Architects to deliver a powerful cohesive enterprise message.

In this role you are responsible for:

  • Messaging and positioning: Develop compelling positioning and messaging for key personas, use cases and verticals
  • Product launch: drive delivery of assets and programs for new product introductions and updates
  • Customer references: create case studies of successful customers followed by distribution across all marketing channels
  • Pricing and packaging: create and communicate pricing and packaging that simplify sales and customer adoption
  • Content creation: develop compelling content for market-facing assets including collateral, videos, blog posts, website, thought-leadership, product demos and webinars
  • Market intelligence: be the subject matter expert on industry trends, players and the competition
  • Sales enablement: Deliver sales training, presentations and selling tools, playbooks and win/loss analysis.  Help sales identify opportunities, position our solution, and drive deals to close
  • Campaign execution: partner with Demand Generation to build and drive campaigns. 
  • Analyst relations: help shape view of products and platform with industry analysts to generate recommendations and favorable mentions
  • Evangelism: speak at events and on webinars as required. Brief press and analysts as required. Represent the company at hosted client events, partner meetings and industry conferences

You may be a good fit for our team if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing or solutions marketing in enterprise software and/or SaaS
  • Strong experience in marketing cloud infrastructure and/or open source products
  • Passionate about groundbreaking technology, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively articulate and showcase product with flair, and to different types of audiences
  • Self-starter who truly enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative software company
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and working outside your comfort zone
  • Biased towards execution
  • BS/BA Degree required; MBA preferred
