Software Engineer - Backend

Responsibilities: 
  • Work with the software team on back-end systems and APIs
  • Ensure that systems fulfill requirements
  • Define, develop and automate test cases 
  • Continuously improve development tools and methods
 
Required qualifications:

  • University degree in computer science / engineering or equivalent professional experience
  • Hands-on experience developing highly reliable and scalable software
  • Very high proficiency in at least one widely-used programming language
  • Working experience with AWS, Google Cloud Compute or Microsoft Azure clouds APIs
  • Accustomed to writing high-quality code, in an efficient and well-document manner
  • Experience working with databases and large datasets 
  • Ability to work in a team and coordinate with other engineering teams per company priorities
  • Ability to challenge conventional thinking in a fact-based and professional manner

Desirable qualifications:
  • Fluency in C++ and Python preferred
  • Experience building RESTful APIs
  • Experience with large scale deployments
  • Experience with ML pipelines
