Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities: 

  • Design and develop embedded autonomous flight software
  • Derive low-level requirements from high-level use cases
  • Define and write automated test harnesses
  • Provide technical input and direction on software and hardware stacks
  • Provide guidance on system architecture
  • Ensure that system fulfills functional and safety requirements
  • Ensure that system fulfills performance requirements, including real-time guarantees
 
Required qualifications:

  • University degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience
  • High proficiency in C/C++
  • Solid understanding of embedded real-time systems
  • Thorough understanding of computer architecture and networking
  • Hands-on experience with software development and architecture
  • Experience with hardware and software development process according to DO-178B/C and DO-254
  • Comfortable with quantitative risk assessment methodologies
  • Ability to work in a team and coordinate with other engineering teams per company priorities
  • Ability to challenge conventional thinking in a fact-based and professional manner

Desirable qualifications:

  • Development experience with ARP4754A, ISO-26262 
  • Experience in formal software verification
  • Experience with model-based design
