TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the company’s tractors and trailers as well as mechanical operation of the site
- Perform tire-changes, brake changes, oil changes, and minor repairs on tractors and tractors
- Perform regular system checks and inspections on terminal equipment
Requirements:
- Truck mechanic experience and/or recent vocational training required with ASE certification preferred
- General maintenance skills and experience, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic basic troubleshooting and repair, preferred
- Experience with compressed gas or hazardous materials preferred
- Valid CDL-A license with hazmat endorsement for road-testing equipment and occasional driving preferred
- Solid work history and experience in industries with strict adherence to procedures and regulations
- Strong work ethic with ability to prioritize, work conscientiously, and with limited supervision
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Ability sit, stand, and walk continuously
- Ability to kneel, bend, and reach frequently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at customer site and/or station, as needed
