Manipulate data for the purposes of reconciling and preparing financial data in preparation for independent audit
Familiarity with federal accounting and financial accounting systems
Familiarity and comfort with mining into data to discover anomalies and business logic behind data discrepancies
Data manipulation skills
Technical writing and reviewing skills (e.g. workpapers, reports, policy writing)
Requirements:
Background in programing logic or strong MS-Excel (Visual Basic, Macros)
Prior working experiences or knowledge in finance and accounting necessary
Evidence of self-application to learning new tools will satisfy requirement
Must be attentive to details and dependable to remain effective and efficient when managing individual workload to complete assigned tasks
A well-organized self-starter with aptitude for learning new skills to successfully producing accurate and polished client deliverables
Candidate must be a polished communicator and able to lead client facing meetings in person, over the phone, or compose official written communiquesTechnical, Accounting, or Business degree
2+ years of relevant experience with one or more of the above “Responsibilities” (internships count only if no course credit was earned)
Strong problem-solving skills, especially related to data
Able to obtain or currently holds a DoD Secret clearance (must currently have at least an NACI/Public Trust)
Desired:
SQL experience
RDBMS experience
Prior experience involving DoD financial management or accounting is a plus
