Responsibilities include leading the strategic approach and translating it into deliverables like sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps and wireframes.
Responsibilities

- Stakeholder interview scripts
- Competitive analyses
- User research scripts and surveys
- Analyses of user research findings
- User personas + archetypes
- Project objectives and key results (Alignment documents)
- Logic and system documentation
- Use cases
- Feature requirements and functional spec documents
- Product strategy decks (Approach decks)
- User and product journey maps / flows
- Visual representations of ideas (hand sketches, wireframes, prototypes)
- Correlating concrete features and functionality with business needs.
Baseline capabilities:
- Use design thinking to achieve project goals and KPIs.
- Correlate concrete features and functionality with business needs.
- Communicate solutions to complex problems both visually and verbally.
- Work with clients to co-create an ideal experience for their target users.
- Understand layout, typography and visual hierarchy.
- Document design decisions and functionality for developers.
Generate subject matter expertise:
- Participate in stakeholder interviews with the client.
- Analyze comparable businesses and their digital products.
- Conduct qualitative research with the target audience.
Think critically + facilitate ideation:
- Form insights from user research, data, and competitive analyses.
- Identify how research findings affect design choices.
- Identify opportunities for the client’s digital product.
- Facilitate brainstorms with the internal team.
- Guide the team to remain within the parameters of the business goals and KPIs.
- Translate the team’s recommendation into a tactical design solution.
- Define the logic of the system.
Tell compelling stories:
- Craft and communicate the team’s approach to the project.
- Present to stakeholders with skill and confidence.
- Articulate the users’ journey throughout the experience.
Requirements
- Formal education in related field
- 3-5 years industry experience
- Experience working at an agency or equivalent
- Literacy in design tools and digital technologies
- Proficiency in Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite or other industry standard digital design software
- Proficiency in presentation software such as Keynote, Google Presentation
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Understanding of digital product design process (i.e., sprints, agile…)
