The Bookkeeper acts at the main liaison between Joint and Finance.  The Bookkeeper works closely with our accounting team to maintain financial records of our in-house production department (Joint) by recording transactions on a daily basis. He or she does this by performing the following tasks and assuming the following responsibilities: 

Essential Functions 
-Ensures that Joint services are being billed accurately on specific client production jobs 
-Inputs/updates vendor records as necessary
-Processes, tracks and maintains clear records of vendor payment activity
-Audits each specific Joint production job by reviewing estimate approval, accuracy of charges, outstanding vendor purchases orders and reconciling travel expenses
-Generates client estimated vs. actual time reports to provide the agency 
-Analyzes client budget and accounting reports.
-Assists with monthly closing process
-Assists with special projects and client audits on an as-needed basis
-Works closely to HR on the setup of Joint’s temporary and Independent Contractors personnel based on set standards, federal and state laws.

-1+ years related experience preferred
-Bachelor degree in Accounting/Business preferred
-Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
-Netsuite or client billing system experience preferred
-Ability to interact with internal and external employees, clients and vendors at a variety of levels and across functions
-A demonstrated track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical thinking skills and maintaining composure in stressful situations
-Ability prioritize and efficiently handle a variety of tasks at once
-Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail required
-Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
-Exceptional initiative and follow through skills
