Systems Administrator - Department of Defense

Must be US CITIZEN with an Active Secret Clearance 

Desired Skill Sets:
Candidates should be a trained, experienced (IA certified) SA currently Security+ certified.
Software development experience or understanding would be a significant plus but not required.

Primary Skills Required: VMware Cloud Management

Experience (Years): | 5+ | Education: | BA/BS | Clearance: | Active Secret

Primary Duties:
  • Providing server hardware and software installation, configuration, and security for IT environmentCapable of using VMware and other programs for installing/configuring virtual and internal environment
  • Provide Network support including, but not limited to,  troubleshooting, set-up, and maintenance
  • Managing current and future Storage Area Network (SAN) needs 
  • Collaborate with Picatinny Network Enterprise Center (NEC) on Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and OS patches
  • Update all documentation to include necessary Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), Certificate of Networthiness (CON) requests, and hardware/software lists 
  • Perform routine duties on computer server systems including but not limited to: log checking, installing new software releases and system upgrades, system patching, resolving software related problems, backups, and information assurance.Implement a real-time security alert system for supported computer server systems
  • Provide initial and ongoing support for mission related software on computer server systems.Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity

Certifications and Training Requirements:
Desired: (IA certified) and currently certified on the Information Systems 
Have completed the introductory training (Level I) and certified to Level I as a minimum
Highly Proficient in VMware Experience with cloud-based networks and systems 
Preference for candidates with development experience, Java and C++
