Social Media Strategist - Wilbur Labs

Wilbur Labs is a startup studio turning bold ideas into market-leading companies. We identify big customer pain points and build businesses to solve these problems. We work with industry leaders to manage the company, and continue to provide funding, shared resources, and operational support to ensure management is focused on solving problems that matter to users. Since 2016, we have built and invested in 13 companies and expect to launch 3-4 new companies over the next year.
 
We are seeking a multi-faceted, social guru to expand our expertise in marketing scaling across the portfolio. This is not your typical Social Management role and will challenge you to act both creatively and analytically to strategically grow multiple channels in a growing list of multiple industries. If you’re driven to create, to understand the 3-dimensional puzzle of brand awareness and action, and are obsessed with curating a loyal fanbase that will naturally step to the plate for your campaigns then this is the role for you. We are well-funded for hyper-growth with a strong strategy and will support you to achieve the potential results your strategy will drive.
  
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Flex your creative prowess to develop assets which will resonate with the follower bases of each channel
  • Develop a testing strategy to establish what creative and language is most effective for each company
  • Manage budget across key platforms for all portfolio companies including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Pinterest, Twitter
  • Execute your cross-channel strategy to tie up to each company’s OKRs
  • Monitor conversations and trends across social platforms to keep an open mind about necessity for strategy pivot to growth best practices
  • Develop a community management strategy to connect and engage with each community
  • Ability to establish and defend the strengths of your strategy, while being agile to change course with new data

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years social media and digital experience
  • You live and breathe the business of social media and the influencer space. You have a leading point of view on how, where, and when we should engage on individual channels and how best to partner with others to build brand affinity and new audiences
  • Strength in leadership and execution to produce quality work within tight timelines and simultaneously manage several projects
  • You thrive in front of a blank slate to set a long-term strategy
  • You have an eye for great, social-first creative for each platform and can easily self-develop or seamlessly outsource to execute your vision
  • You possess a “test and learn” mindset with an understanding of the full user journey and where social media can impact and compliment
  • You understand the strength of social media is the synergy between organic and paid efforts and how to execute strongly in both fields
  • You confidently manage multiple distinct budgets of paid media accounts
  • Your content recommendations are grounded in experience, research, experimentation, and data to support your audience and the channel objective

Preferred Qualifications & Prior Experience
  • Startup Studio experience is a major plus but not required, same goes for any startup, early venture experience
  • Creative portfolio
  • Both B2C and B2B experiences
  • Photo/ Video Shoot on-location experience
  • Managing narrative in C-suite
