Wilbur Labs is a startup studio building a portfolio of companies at the intersection of marketing and technology. We are founded by a team of ex-Googlers who are reinventing the way companies are built by leveraging data and automation across the entire business life cycle. This approach eliminates inefficiencies and opens the door to scaling much faster than traditional companies.

We launch 2-3 new businesses every few months and are looking for a growth focused Entrepreneur In Residence (EIR) to help build our next batch of portfolio companies. The EIR will work closely with the Wilbur Labs founders to launch and scale new businesses from the ground up. If you’re obsessed with startups and building exceptional products this role is for you. Our next batch of projects are well funded B2C companies well positioned for growth.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Lead product management of our new, well funded portfolio companies
  • Spec, build, QA, and ship world class products
  • Lead the management and execution of a performance driven marketing strategy
  • Create, track, analyze, and optimize paid search campaigns in Google Ads and Bing Ads for a portfolio of businesses
  • Work closely with engineering team to build custom advertising tech to improve and scale campaigns
  • Collaborate with our global team to develop and scale marketing strategies

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of search marketing experience (Google Ads and/or Bing)
  • Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for data-driven marketing
  • Strong product management experience
  • Self-starter who will thrive in an ambiguous startup environment
  • Competitive, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area

Preferred Qualifications & Prior Experience: 
  • Prior startup founder or experience working at an early stage company
  • Demonstrated experience building products and leading teams
  • Background in building eCommerce products
  • Complex advertising account management experience
