Growth Marketing Manager, Lifecycle & Loyalty - VacationRenter

VacationRenter is a vacation rental search engine. We love vacation rentals, but not how time-consuming and complex it can be to find the right one. So we reimagined a better way. We eliminated the need to search across several different sites and scroll through pages of irrelevant results just to find the perfect home away from home. VacationRenter was born inside Wilbur Labs, a San Francisco-based startup studio. Founded by ex-Googlers, VacationRenter uses automation and AI to help travelers find the perfect vacation rental.

About This Role
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial marketing professional with a passion for travel and looking to transform the vacation rental industry. We need someone who can build and grow our engagement marketing program. In this role you will develop and execute strategies to engage with our customers and increase brand loyalty. We are looking for candidates that are data-driven, passionate about the entire customer journey, and who have deep experience in lifecycle and loyalty. This is a full-time, on-site position based in San Francisco, CA or Austin, TX.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Design, launch and lead marketing programs for email, loyalty and retention
  • Understand customer journey and identify opportunities to increase conversion and repeat rates 
  • Write creative and effective email messaging that aligns with our brand voice
  • Analyze data to determine opportunities for optimization and growth
  • Manage ongoing optimization of campaigns by designing and executing AB tests, especially with emails
  • Understand how to measure, monitor, and report on all marketing campaigns (open rates, conversion rates, etc)
  • Grow other marketing channels such as display and retargeting

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of lifecycle, CRM and retention marketing experience or other relevant channel
  • Strong knowledge of email and CRM marketing landscape
  • Experience with solution architecture, database marketing, and marketing automation
  • Strong quantitative skills, advanced Excel and working knowledge of HTML & SQL
  • Strong writing and editing skills with extreme attention to detail
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco or Austin

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience at a startup or travel company
  • Experience working with multiple marketing channels
