Public Relations Specialist

Position Summary
The Public Relations Specialist is responsible for positioning White Shark Media as a leading digital marketing company that is properly recognized locally. Their job is to plan, develop, and execute communication strategies and campaigns that portray and influence a positive image of our brand to both internal and external audiences. These audiences include but aren’t limited to employees, potential candidates, local companies, and the media. 

 
Responsibilities

Promote and maintain a positive image of the White Shark Media brand
  • Participate in opportunity assessment and management to protect and enhance the brand 
  • Monitor the public’s opinion towards the brand on recent events

Seek new partnership, sponsorship and advertising opportunities on a regular basis.
  • Create connections with local marketing agencies and institutions
  • Arrange interviews with strategic media outlets
  • Obtain sponsorship for events

Coordinate and work with Local and Online Vendors to fulfill Local and Internal Marketing Needs
  • Printing of Artwork and Other Branding Material (Folders, Notepads, etc.).New Badges and Lanyards 
  • Maintain a fresh corporate branding inside and outside the office.
  • Being the point of contact with vendors to ensure WSM Store stock.

Organize and coordinate public events including but not limited to: press releases, conferences, trainings.
  • Be the voice of the company and represent the company’s interests by attending relevant events
  • Prepare and distribute press releases. 
  • Evaluate opportunities to participate in Job Fairs

Plan and manage social media campaigns for our Nicaraguan outlets.
  • Create and Manage Social Media Calendar
  • Coordinate with other departments on the creation of relevant content.
  • Engage with social media audiences by commenting, answering messages, etc. 

 
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Written English Level: Advanced
  • Spoken English Level: Advanced
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related fields.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience
  • Know How & Certifications: Social Media and Public Relations skills
