As E-commerce Manager, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of our e-commerce operations: from sourcing new products and creating compelling product descriptions, order processing, customer service, and purchasing and management of inventory.
You will also effectively collaborate with our Fulfillment, Engineering, and Bookkeeping teams to drive continuous process improvement and apply general problem-solving skills across our operations.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for the following activities:
- Sourcing new products and creating product descriptions
- Recruiting and managing freelance copywriters.
- Providing customer support -- via email and live chat
- Creating and maintaining support docs
- Purchasing, receiving and managing inventory.
- Proactively collaborating with Marketing on content strategy, promotional campaigns, SEO, and SMO.
- Proactively collaborating with the Engineering team to develop and refine systems to make sure we’re always improving.
- Continuously improving the shop design and UI/UX to increase revenue and conversions.
- Processing daily orders and coordinating with fulfillment team to ensure orders are fulfilled timely and accurately.
Minimal Qualifications
- Sharp analytical mind with a strong attention to detail.
- Basic Japanese language ability
- Ability to work independently on project deliverables in a fast-paced, and ambiguous environment with proven success in project management, execution, and multitasking.
Non-essential but desirable:
- Customer support or customer relationship management experience.
- Experience in E-commerce or Internet products.
- Experience with a CMS.
- Skill and talent for image creation and editing.
- Experience with Google Analytics or similar web analytics tools.
- Basic knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Ability to speak and write in Japanese fluently.
