Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the Sales Representative is to bring on new customers, introduce new product lines
to current customers and ultimately increase revenue for their assigned territory. This is achieved through regular
face to face visits, utilizing a consultative sales approach, attending events/trade-shows and building strong relationships with the assigned customer base. This position also helps ensure the implementation of all sales and marketing programs and campaigns within their specified territory.
Essential Functions & Duties
●Regular interaction with product managers and executives to coordinate regional sales campaigns
●Extensive customer visits in the defined region and technical support. Expected travel approximately 40 -50%.
●Develops sales plans for assigned territory including the targeting of specific products and services as well as specific customer types.
●Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications,
maintaining personal networks and participating in industry organizations.
●Regular review of sales numbers and budgets in region.
●Responsible for planning and
hosting shows, along with attending and participating in trade show events.
●Researches and analyzes sales information from NetSuite to ensure understanding of the market including
customers and competition.
●Responds to, and handles customer complaints or concerns in the area.
●Work with any wholesalers, distributors, and retailers to manage sales and inventory in region
●Utilizes NetSuite to enter and update sales orders and customer information including leads and opportunities.
●Partners with Customer Service Representatives, Master Planner, and other sales staff to utilize company to understand and communicate product availability to customers.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
●Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business or other related field.
●3+ years of outside sales experience.
●Consumer packaged goods sales experience a plus.
●Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
●Ability to engage in a consultative sales approach with breweries, wineries and distilleries.
●Working knowledge of the brewing process and fundamentals of fermentation a plus.
●Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Physical Demands
Medium work: Employee may, or may not, have a workstation or office. Time spent conducting sedentary work is
less than 50%. Requires walking, standing and/or driving for more than 50% of the workday. Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds
