In this role:
You will be responsible for the onsite running of events and catering service by supervising, directing and coordinating service and staff to meet and exceed client expectations.
Specific Tasks Include:Onsite
Supervise production of contracts on a daily basis: including service setup and execution.
Supervise daily scheduling of staff on events.
Oversee running of specific events.
Conduct daily deliveries as needed.
Other Operations
Pack equipment for upcoming events.
Ensure the warehouse area is clean and organised at all times, supervise maintenance as necessary.
Plan and submit request for all consumables to be ordered related to events.
Service
Greet and serve all guests in a timely, friendly manner.
Prepare and deliver all food and beverage items in a timely manner.
Ensure wine service steps when needed.
Manage a simple cash register when required.
Answer guests' questions and provide information to the best of your abilities. When in doubt, consult the catering or sales manager.
Resolve guest complaints. When this is not possible, refer to the catering or sales manager.
You will need to:
Have experience running catering events and supervising staff.
Have a thorough knowledge of all menu items.
Be able to carry tray of glassware with up to 8 wine glasses.
Be able to clear and carry up to four 12” dinner plates and cutlery.
Have your Serve It Right Certificate.
