In this role:
You will work as a prep cook for Whistler Cooks | Hunter Gather.
You will be responsible for preparing and presenting foods using standardized recipes and portion sizes.
Specific Tasks Include:
Operations
- Produce, direct and follow up on the quality of food prepared in the kitchen performing constant checks for taste, temperature and visual appeal
- Verify that kitchen staff is versed in all recipe and portion servings correctly according to menu specifications prior to producing menus.
- Recording of temperature checks of all equipment
- Ensuring proper distribution and rotation of foods.
- Ensure par level stocks are met/adjusted each day.
- Staff training, ensure staff compliance with food safety plans and hygiene systems.
- Assisting cooks and dishwashers with daily operations
You will need to:
- Have at least 3 year experience working in a professional kitchen.
- Have completed foodsafe level 1.
- Be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift.
- Be able to frequently lift and carry food, beverage and other items greater than 35 pounds, able to transport up to 70 pounds regularly.
