Job Description

WeVideo is on the hunt for a Community Manager with a passion for education and a talent for organization, process, and details. We are looking for an all-star who has passion for the K-12 education community, can handle technical tools, and has a knack for details while keeping an eye on our overarching vision. WeVideo is the market leader in video creation and storytelling tools for the education market. As a Community Manager, you will coordinate between our education users (classroom teachers, instructional coaches, school leaders), sales and marketing teams, and WeVideo Ambassadors to ensure our customers are fully engaged with WeVideo. Through our educator community, you will develop creative and popular programs, activities, and initiatives which transform our engaged users into active advocates and evangelists, helping us meet business objectives for increased awareness and new business growth in K-12.

Responsibilities
  • Be a strong advocate for WeVideo for Schools and the company vision
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the education community
  • Develop and execute creative and appealing campaigns, projects, programs, events, etc. for maximum customer engagement, and to meet WeVideo business objectives
  • Develop and manage all aspects of community relationships with educators, and ambassadors, and serve as the main point of contact
  • Manage our online educator community platform 
  • Manage our social media activity for our education customer segment
  • Develop and manage a WeVideo Certified Educator Program
  • Encourage submissions, collect and curate assets (blog posts, lesson plans, videos, etc.) from our customers to drive engaging content
  • Deliver regular status reports showing measurable impact on business 
  • Develop strategic recommendations that support top level business objectives
  • Deliver results within scope, time and budget
  • Ship swag, gifts, and rewards to community members and Ambassadors
  • Route support requests in an expeditious manner that originate within the online community


Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in managing an online community, ideally related to EdTech, traditional education, or professional training
  • Stellar writing and communication skills
  • A people's person with outstanding communication skills and empathy
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently, and in collaboration with other teams
  • Flexibility in using or learning to use different methods for tracking and conveying information, such as Slack, Zendesk, Hubspot, Drift, Agorapulse, forums, chat programs, and email marketing software
  • Experience with live streams and in-person events
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to show clear engagement data for community channels
  • A strong team player who enjoys collaborating, asking for help when necessary, and getting things done without an ego
