WeVideo Senior Copywriter
If you’re a passionate storyteller who is as comfortable writing long-form content as you are writing compelling headlines and search ads that convert, then let’s talk! WeVideo is the leading cloud-based video editing and creation platform for content creators, small businesses and educators, and we’re looking for an experienced writer and content creator to join our growing marketing team. You’ll have an opportunity to help us refine our brand voice, grow our social media presence, and engage millions of users across many channels.
In this role, you will:
- Understand our customer personas across verticals and develop key messaging for each persona at every stage of their journey
- Refine, communicate and represent our brand voice across channels and platforms
- Maintain and update the WeVideo Editorial Style Guide and ensure brand consistency across channels
- Manage the editorial calendar and write weekly blog posts for both our education and business verticals
- Edit content from our network of guest contributors
- Work closely with our Video Producer to storyboard and script videos, including everything from high impact marketing videos to product tutorials, customer success stories and video ads for social media
- Help concept, develop, and write cross-channel marketing materials for both acquisition and customer engagement, including email copy, social media posts, paid ads (social, search), landing pages, print collateral, customer case studies, white papers, infographics and more
- Audit our marketing website and help drive website copy changes and A/B testing of key messaging
- Write guest blog posts and magazine articles on behalf of company executives
- Write press releases and media alerts as needed
- Be a key member of the marketing creative team and contribute to the development of long-term creative strategies and campaigns
Qualifications:
- 5+ years relevant work experience, preferably at an agency or on an in-house marketing team
- Resourceful, creative and an out-of-the-box thinker. Someone who excels at desk research and is willing to do what it takes to become a subject matter expert
- Experience across channels, including video, social media, search and display ads, email, print, and blogs
- Understanding of how to adapt and optimize content for specific platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
- Curiosity, sense of humor and drive to learn everything there is to know about video marketing and WeVideo’s product
- Superior project and time management capabilities within a fast-paced, high productivity environment with the capability to meet tight deadlines
- Able to work and communicate within a team structure while able to work independently with minimal supervision
- The ability to anticipate and effectively communicate and solve practical problems or issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on details and quality
