Flashlight is working with an independent Design Agency in London on a brief to find their new 2D Creative Director. You should be able to demonstrate 360 brand thinking, have a flair for presenting and storytelling and bring passion, drive and energy to every project you work across.
The role with sit on the management team and report directly to the founders of the business. You will have real autonomy to shape the team and the direction of the studio.
The Role
You will be critical to the development of the team and ensure the agency retains, develops and continues to attract the very best design talent. You will be empowered to make the big decisions, as such they are looking for someone with boundless energy, enthusiasm, entrepreneurial spirit, strong people management skills and an ever-present desire to push the boundaries of great design.
The Person
- You will have an ability to look beyond the brief, to seek out creative, effective and appropriate solutions that maximise profit and help to secure new work and clients.
- You will be an excellent listener, great communicator and have a strong sense of personal responsibility for the work you and your team produce.
- Ensure the continuous professional development and wellbeing of the design team.
- Work with the management team to develop the long-term strategy for the business.
- Continually keep abreast of what is happening in the design industry and share those findings with the wider business.
- Ability to be hands-on and billable on client work as maintaining an active role in the management team.
- You will have a proven track record of large scale branding projects with the ability to think how this fit across all channel.
- As an experienced Creative Director, you should have a relevant design degree, an award-winning portfolio that demonstrates an ability to think intellectually about design problems and clearly demonstrates your ability to flex an idea across the different channels of a brand.
