We are working with a global design business to find a Strategy Director who can build exceptional strategic relationships with key clients in their rapidly growing New York office.
Our client is evolving the strategy team away from classic brand thinking to a broader, more commercially robust and focused mix and are now looking for a Strategy Director who can lead clients and internal teams through brand strategy projects.
The Function of the Role:
- Set the strategic direction for the client, collaborating internally to identify and translate business and brand challenges into inspiring briefs, based on insights and ideas, across multiple brands within a business.
- Build long-lasting partnerships across multiple brands/businesses, through understanding broader business and brand challenges, using insights to inspire confidence.
- Leverage cultural, category and business insights, and inspire confidence in ideas.
- Develop strong client relationships across brands, through understanding of the brand and broader business challenges, providing provocation where possible, to drive brand growth and broaden the creative opportunity.
- Lead and shape the client creative agenda across the client group.
- Lead the creation of annual client development plans and budgets.
The skills and experience needed:
- Vast experience of leading and successfully deploying global brand repositioning projects within complex organisations.
- Confidence in leading and owning client relationships with a proven track record in helping to identify and upsell new opportunities within the projects.
- A natural collaborator, able to thrive within small crack teams made up of a diverse mix of talent and disciplines.
- A true craftsperson, able to translate complex strategic recommendations into beautifully crafted stories that inspire and galvanise clients and creative teams within the business
- Excited by the prospect of working within a fast paced, ‘polymathic’, entrepreneurial environment in which everyone needs to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty.
- Ability to anticipate and address key areas of interest for the audience and adapt your style under pressure.
- Able to deliver strong pitches, client presentations and can influence results.
