Flashlight is working with our client in Amsterdam on a brief to find a talented Creative Director who is looking to make the step up to ECD. You should be able to demonstrate 360 brand thinking, have a flair for presenting and storytelling and bring passion, drive and energy to every project you work across.
The Role
The is a rare and exciting opportunity to really help shape the future of the business by leading the creative output as well as working very closely with the global senior leadership team.
You will be critical to the development of the team and ensure the agency retains, develops and continues to attract the very best design talent. You will be empowered to make the big decisions, as such they are looking for someone with boundless energy, enthusiasm, entrepreneurial spirit, strong people management skills and an ever-present desire to push the boundaries of great design.
As part of the CD role, you will also be expected to raise the Company’s profile through involvement with colleges, the media, industry bodies and award schemes.
The Person
- You will have an ability to look beyond the brief, to seek out creative, effective and appropriate solutions that maximise profit and help to secure new work and clients.
- You will be an excellent listener, great communicator and have a strong sense of personal responsibility for the work you and your team produce.
- Ensure the continuous professional development and wellbeing of the design team.
- Work with the management team to develop a long-term strategy for the business.
- Continually keep abreast of what is happening in the design industry and share those findings with the wider business.
- Ability to be hands-on and billable on client work as maintaining an active role in the management team.
- You will have a proven track record of large scale branding projects with the ability to think how this fit across all channel.
- As an experienced Creative Director, you should have a relevant design degree, an award-winning portfolio that demonstrates an ability to think intellectually about design problems and clearly demonstrates your ability to flex an idea across the different channels of a brand.
