We are looking for an experienced and creative UI/UX Designer to join our gang!
At WakeCap, we have developed an IoT based platform for construction companies to track workers, materials, and assets. We are currently in search of a passionate and energetic UI/UX Designer to measure and optimize our products to improve ease of use and create the best user experience.
Our products are challenging and complex, and you will need to use your UX skills to analyze, synthesize, and realize complex interactions. You will be working in an experienced design & product team to deliver innovative, simple user experience for construction IoT technology and data visualization.
Responsibilities
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Evaluating existing applications and evaluating their UX (user experience) effectiveness
- Creating and implementing interaction models, user flows, and user interface specifications
- Communicating scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs with other members of the team
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mocks to illustrate solutions
- Facilitate user workshops and present ideas to product owners and stakeholders through whiteboarding, demos, walkthroughs
- Work with developers to support the realization of ideas and solutions
- Work with the QA to validate development and user acceptance criteria
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images
- Conduct usability testing and improve user experience through iteration
Required Skills
- 2-4 years of working experience as a UI-UX Designer or similar role
- Proficiency with Sketch, InVision, Adobe CC, Adobe XD, Zeplin, and Balsamiq.
- Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Experience working with development and engineering teams in an agile environment
- Proven experience showing a clear understanding of the intersection between user needs, technology requirements, and business goals
- Artistic eye for design and the ability to think creatively while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of best practices for digital user accessibility
- Knowledge of CSS, HTML, responsive design, other front end technologies also a plus
- Intellectual curiosity and drive; self-starters will thrive in this position
