As a Data Annotator at Voxel51, you will source our data resources. Our Data Annotators work as a team to find the data needed to train our deep learning models and perform other core functions at Voxel51.
A day in the life...
- Search for, compile, and curate video and image datasets
- Annotate datasets to identify certain objects, actions, activities, and scenes of interest
- An example project may include:
- searching YouTube for videos containing pre-defined actions (e.g. criminal activity captured by surveillance cameras)
- identifying types of objects and actions present in images and recording matches in a spreadsheet
- drawing spatio-temporal bounding boxes around objects in images and videos
Thumbs Up if you have:
- Ability to understand high-level instructions and implement them systematically to achieve a goal
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets (Google Docs and Sheets)
- Proficiency in mouse-based web interaction
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work effectively without direct supervision
2 Thumbs Up if you have:
- Interest in curating datasets for computer vision and machine learning models - no prior experience in computer vision or machine learning is necessary
- Desire to support work in a cutting edge field
You should apply if:
- You have an internet-connected computer with a modern web browser (this is required to do the work)
- You are looking for remote work
