Position: Jr. Help Desk Technician / Network Technician
Duration: One (1) Year
Start date: As soon as possible (subject to a background check)
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related disciplines, or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field.
General Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in business IT environments with an emphasis on IT customer support.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting Microsoft operating systems, XP or greater.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with MS Office, 2003 or greater.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience developing documentation of IT processes and procedures.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience supporting users in a geographically diverse environment using remote desktop connection utilities.
- Minimum of 1-year hands-on troubleshooting experience
- Detail oriented and organized
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Focus on someone who is early in their career who is sharp with a lot of potentials, over a seasoned vet.
- Check if the candidate is someone who is going to show initiative and drive to tackle complex/challenging issues/situations.
Highly Desired:
- Experience with report writing in Jasper Reporting, Crystal Reports, etc.
Other Requirements:
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Own cell phone
- Travel possible within Maryland including an occasional overnight stay
