Harvest & Trim Supervisor

Job overview:

We are hiring a Harvest & Trim Supervisor for our client, one of the largest cannabis companies in Canada. This individual is responsible for overseeing cannabis processing activities within the organization’s cultivation facilities. The Harvest and Trim Supervisor will ensure produce is cultivated and harvested efficiently, while meeting quality and safety requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all harvesting and trimming activities
  • Perform safe and effective harvesting, trimming, drying and converting cannabis bulk product into high quality cannabis products
  • Follow, and ensure all staff within the facility follow, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all harvesting activities during cannabis processing, at all times, to result consistent quality cannabis products
  • Ensure processing equipment and machinery are in order prior to use to meet or exceed safety requirements
  • Knowledge and compliance with GPP, GMP and GLP
  • Assist in conducting lot coding and tracking of individual cannabis plants and the resultant harvested bulk and finished cannabis products
  • Assure all cannabis products are free from contamination risk at all processing stages right from propagation to final packaging
  • Recommend standard procedures to implement that maximize equipment safety, maintenance support, and assure consistent quality product output
  • Ensure regulatory requirements needed for premises and equipment used for cultivation, harvest, preparation, packaging, storage, infusion and sale of cannabis incidental are maintained in clean and sanitary conditions
  • Monitor for Quality Control checks in order to ensure process and product Quality in line with site Quality Assurance team

 Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Commercial grow experience or professional equivalency is an asset
  • Previous Health Canada Security Clearance and work experience with a Canadian Licensed Producer (LP) is considered as an asset
  • Strong Agricultural background in a GAP and HACCP regulated environment, with proficiency in various cultivation and plant maintenance techniques
  • Demonstrated experience in cultivation of cannabis or other delicate commercial crops

 Salary: Based on experience and qualifications
