Job Overview:
We are seeking a Deputy Facility Director to work for our client, one of the largest cannabis companies in Canada. Reporting to the Facility Director, this individual will be primarily responsible for optimizing operations within the organizations production facilities across Canada. There will also be an opportunity to work on key projects critical to the organization’s expansion, adding value to the overall strategic vision.

The role will require an individual who will excel in hands-on management within the organization’s several facilities across Canada, and with high-level, strategic organizational activities.
Responsibilities:
· Review, optimize, and manage manufacturing processes
· Review, optimize, and manage supply chain processes
· Direct operations within production facilities, both on site and remotely
· Manage resources and staffing within facilities
· Create strategic plans for sourcing, acquiring, and maintaining adequate levels of all required materials and services
· Negotiate long-term contracts and ad-hoc orders
· Utilize cross-functional partners to ensure the highest standards of service
· Communicate with suppliers, retailers, and customers to ensure mutual satisfaction and profitable business
· Resolve day to day discrepancies and critical issues, escalating as required; track and analyze activities to ensure issues are not repeated
· Assist other personnel across the organization as required
Who you are:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related area (Business, Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain etc). Postgraduate degree a major asset
· 3+ years experience in a related field
· Experience in leadership within a large organization
· Experience in change management an asset
· Excellent planning and organizational skills
· High attention to accuracy and detail is key
· Excellent communication and strong teamwork skills
· Ability to travel regularly and for extended periods of time
· Experience in the cannabis industry an asset, but not essential
Salary:
$80-100,000, depending upon experience and qualifications
