Facility Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Facility Human Resources Manager to work for our client, one of the largest cannabis companies in Canada. The Facility HR Manager will report to the Director of People and Culture within the organization. The HRBP will be provide proactive HR business services covering all operational locations across the organization, which spans the breadth of Canada. This individual will provide HR support to the business and employees within the organization’s operational facilities and will work closely with other HR team members to look for continuous improvement opportunities. This role requires a HR professional who has a history of success in developing HR solutions within an operational/manufacturing context.

The role will require an individual who will excel in hands-on management within the organization’s several facilities across Canada, and with high-level, strategic organizational activities.

Responsibilities:

·       Develop performance management programs and work with managers to implement this program
·       Recruitment activities such as recruitment, interviewing, job description development and posting
·       Support employees to address concerns and to facilitate resolutions
·       Provide guidance to managers on applying company policies and procedures
·       Review and deliver HR owned & delivered training
·       Manage the new hire on boarding program alongside the HR Administrator

Who you are:

·       Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, Postgraduate degree a major asset
·       3+ years experience as an HR Manager and/or Business Partner
·       Detailed knowledge of Provincial and Federal Employment Standards and Labour Laws
·       Experience in change management an asset
·       Experience delivering training
·       Experience with coaching and supporting managers during times of organizational change
·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·       Ability to travel regularly and for extended periods of time
·       Experience in the cannabis industry an asset, but not essential

Salary: 

$80-100,000, depending upon experience and qualifications
