Viome is a wellness as a service company that applies artificial intelligence and machine learning to biological data – e.g., microbiome (bacteria, fungi and other microbes), transcriptome (sum of RNA molecules) and metabolome (set of chemicals) data – to provide personalized recommendations for healthy living. We are a small, fast growing, interdisciplinary team of passionate experts in software engineering, biochemistry, microbiology, medicine, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
We are seeking another Website Developer to join our team and help with designing, coding and modifying Viome’s website from layout to function, according to specification. The ideal candidate will have proven experience of creating visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, thinks holistically, and works collaboratively to solve problems, create processes and furthers large-scale objectives.
This a full-time onsite position at Viome’s offices in Bellevue, WA.

Responsibilities:
- Partner with our design team to develop Viome’s website features and conduct ongoing improvements and iterations
- Maintain consistency within the website and within all Viome applications
- Interface frequently with key business stakeholders and internal executive management
- Work cross-functionally with other internal teams such as engineering, design, and UI/UX
- Take ownership of web development projects
- Solve unique technical problems and work collaboratively to troubleshoot unforeseen roadblocks
- Able to work quickly, document development requirements and produce deliverables
- Set goals and deadlines and translate effectively to team
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional experience in similar role
- Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards
- Must have deep functional knowledge or hands-on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc ..)
- HTML development experience
- Proven history of JavaScript programming
- Experience working with any CMS, (preferably October CMS)
- Debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units
Nice-to-have but not required:
- Past experience with PHP, JSON, Using REST APIs, understanding of general database concepts
