Chief of Staff

Vetspire is an Artificial Intelligence driven veterinary medical records and practice management platform. We’re a startup reimagining the way that veterinarians use technology—impacting every aspect of patient care from AI assistance in the exam room to managing client communications and clinical analytics.

We’re growing quickly and looking for a Chief of Staff to join the team & work closely with our CEO (Sam) on scaling Vetspire to help bring veterinarians’ dreams into fruition. You'll be the CEO's right-hand person and work closely with him every-day on everything from marketing, client engagement, support, strategic planning, design, and operations. You'll have fantastic organizational skills as you juggle all of Vetspire's different priorities as well help maximize his time. You'll talk directly with clients nearly every-day as you ensure that we're able to best support their needs. This is an incredibly critical and multi-faceted role that will touch all aspects of the business in our high-speed, dynamic, and early-stage startup!

Here's a snapshot of what you'll be doing any given week:
  • Join Sam on conference calls and meetings with clients to figure out their priorities and where we should best be spending our time. Come up and manage systems to ensure that our team is delivering.
  • Talking with prospective new clients and joining/leading sales demos. Owning our internal CRM and enterprise sales process.
  • Run training sessions with new hospitals' staffs to help them learn Vetspire. You decide to create video training courses to speed the process.
  • Running special projects related to new growth strategies that you develop and tracking success—everything from marketing campaigns to partnerships.
  • Answer & respond swiftly to support questions from clients. Hop on the phone with one of them to see what they really need.
  • Helping leverage Sam's time in the best possible way. Serving as a sounding-board for any new ideas and debating best approaches.
  • Writing correspondence between Vetspire and clients & partners.
  • Helping to manage Vetspire's relationships with industry partners, and find/start/own new relationships.
  • Analyze new markets and strategic opportunities by conducting research.
  • Spending the day at one of our vet hospitals and coming up with new features.
  • Owning, creating, and staffing Vetspire's sales booth at industry conferences and events. Researching and determining the best ones to attend.
  • Developing whole new projects that will accelerate our mission, owning these, and bringing them into fruition!

(This role will be mostly done remotely, but may involve some regular in-person meetings and occasional travel).

Interview Process

If you're a good fit, we'll reach out to set up a phone call to tell you more about Vetspire. If you're interested, we'll work quickly to identify if this will be the best role for you:

  • ~30 minute phone call, where we'll tell you more about Vetspire and find out if you're interested!
  • ~1 hour phone call interview, where we will walk through some of your past experience and help determine if this role will be a good fit for you.
  • In-person interview.
  • After that, we'll hopefully make an offer and start preparing for you to join us!
