About the Role
W&P seeks a Supply Chain Manager to forecast, monitor inventory flow, and order new and existing products across our assortment of 250+ products throughout life cycle. This includes oversight of manufacturing production, import logistics, product and partnership management with our 3rd party warehouse, and inventory flow of open orders for all of W&P’s sales channels including key accounts, custom development projects, and international distributors. This is an exciting, hands-on opportunity for a supply chain expert with a passion for the food and beverage industry to contribute to inventory management process development to support ongoing sales and brand growth for W&P.
Responsibilities
- Enhance existing inventory models to improve forecasting accuracy and inventory turnover, incorporating historic and current sales data
- Collaborate with operations and manufacturing partners to ensure optimal inventory flows
- Oversee all freight and logistics working directly with manufacturing partners, freight forwarders / brokers, and warehouse teams
- Manage open orders with key account partners ensuring accurate purchasing and assurance of fulfillment pipeline
- Prepare reports and develop KPIs as well as diagnostic measures to analyze and recommend courses of action for the operational forecast
- Work with Sales to develop systems for accurate inventory projection traction for key account partners, international distributors, and other large volume channels
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3-5 years experience in demand forecasting, inventory optimization and supply planning
- Understanding of end-to-end supply chain management processes – scheduling, freight, imports/exports, warehousing, and fulfillment
- Proactive self-starter, strong organizational skills, professional and positive attitude, high attention to detail, aptitude for working with many people, and ability to deal with a rapidly shifting workload
- Desire to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with a collaborative, small team
- Strong ability to identify, define and solve complex problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
- Enthusiasm for the food, beverage, publishing, gifting, and home product industry (Experience with consumables is an added plus)
