About the Role
W&P is seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives across all marketing channels. The Director of Marketing is in charge of W&P’s branding and marketing efforts including content creation, email messaging, social media and PR campaigns for wholesale and e-commerce channels. The Director of Marketing will spearhead all marketing initiatives and be responsible for leading the marketing team through the concepting, developing, integrating and executing of all initiatives, working closely with internal departments. You have consistent success in using a data-driven approach to develop new ideas and concepts, tactics for optimization, knowledge surrounding the latest technologies and trends in performance marketing, as well as a track record for driving demand.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategies and nurture relationships to increase market share, enhance brand awareness and build brand partnerships.
- Oversee the daily operations of the marketing team to ensure that the team is functioning at a high level while exceeding goals and objectives.
- Social channel strategy, priorities, and goals to ensure cross-functional alignment and effective performance management.
- Plan and direct marketing programs for select products, including advertising, mailings, print promotions, cooperative retail marketing and display marketing and merchandising.
- Synthesize information to clearly communicate key learnings, actionable strategy, and recommend new opportunities.
- Responsible for compiling, analyzing and leveraging performance data to both identify optimization within the current business and new opportunities for growth.
- Oversee the development, production, and distribution of all marketing communications, including web, social and email content and printed materials.
- Own assessment of activations and tentpole events including media sponsorships and signature marketing programs.
- Triage inbound marketing requests and manage both inbound and outbound opportunities, questions and concerns.
- Supervise marketing spend, audit software solutions and contract management based on ROI analysis and costing structure.
- Proactively provide counsel and advice on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives based on company-wide goals and priorities.
About You
- 7 years of experience and a minimum of 2 years in a Director of Marketing role.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to prioritize a high volume of fast-paced projects
- Expertise in developing and executing on a diverse set of data-driven marketing initiatives to drive sales for a B2B and B2C brand
- Experience in determining and leading the proper strategic direction for go-to-market plans that require input and contributions from cross functional teams
- Desire to break barriers within food & beverage space across trade marketing, retail activations, partnerships, and overall wholesale channel penetration to support sales growth initiatives for the brand
- Ability to shift and reorganize in order to accommodate change
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with leadership, creative, public relations and finance teams
- Deep understanding of latest technology trends in all forms of digital media
- Proven ability to effectively manage, lead, and mentor a team of direct reports
- Innovative approach to creative brand presentation within consumer products
- Experience leading a team that produces brand-specific creative content (visual and written)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal, persuasion and problem- solving skills
- Proactive and exceptionally organized
- A strong eye for design and photography
- Interest/experience in the food and beverage-related industry strongly preferred
