The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations in a multi-facility, high volume, and direct-to-consumer environment. The Director has full P&L responsibility and is responsible for all operational metrics, reporting infrastructures, and processes to optimize the cost and performance within fulfillment operations. The Director needs to be an engaged leader that is willing to closely manage and develop leadership within operations and share learnings with peers in other locations. This individual will partner closely with Finance, Logistics and Development teams in defining requirements/solutions for the operation and ensuring. that performance commitments are met.
Responsibilities: (not limited to the following)
- Interview, assess, hire, develop and retain an outstanding team
- Develops, maintain, and improve all operations to support growth initiatives, focusing on driving standardization and optimizing performance
- Manage the network quality initiatives and audit platforms, ensuring continuous improvement and expectations are exceeded
- Manage dashboards to ensure cycle time, quality and operational KPI’s are met
- Develop departmental KPI’s to support overall company KPI’s
- Develop operational changes and makes improvements to ensure optimum ROI’s are achieved
- Manage site-level P&L’s for each US facility, ensuring financial goals are met. Expected to be responsible for reviewing monthly financial reporting with appropriate leadership
- Develop action plans to resolve operational issues, yearly peak season plans and execution of those plans
- Manage multiple vendors including but not limited to 3pl, supply vendors, contractors, special projects and all other tasks as assigned
- Required travel - 10% (bi-annual or annual company events)
Skills & Experience:
- Proven success in DTC warehousing, production, and manufacturing
- Must be able to speak and relate to a diverse multi-cultural workforce and be comfortable talking in front of large groups
- Must be a team player with a strong work ethic as well as having excellent people and organizational skills.
- Experience using e-commerce technical tools such as Shopify, Fulfil or NetSuite and day to day proficiency with Microsoft and Google applications
- Ability to act and operate independently to accomplish the objective
- Attention to detail is a must

- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Business or related degree; or ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
