Digital Marketing Specialist

Valve+Meter is in search of a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing agency. The Digital Marketing Specialist is a key contributor to the Valve+Meter digital marketing and SEO team, responsible for driving organic results for our top clients and driving innovation and growth across the entire organization.  You will be responsible for executing Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Online Reputation Management (ORM), and Content Marketing campaigns through technical on- and off-site optimization strategies, playing an integral role in increasing rankings, driving leads and boosting revenue for our clients.

What will you be doing?
  • Perform website and competitor analysis using various SEO tools
  • Perform keyword research, title tag and meta description development and provide on-page optimization recommendations on an ongoing basis
  • Collaborate with content team to develop content topics and strategies designed to meet client goals
  • Optimize and publish content to client sites through Wordpress
  • Execute link building and link profile management activities including opening accounts, webmaster outreach, relationship building, etc.
  • Monitor and maintain current client website links and disavow negative links
  • Execute local search optimization activities including citation building and cleanup, review solicitation, and on-site geo-targeting modifications
  • Participate in social media initiatives to drive traffic and brand awareness through content publishing, fan acquisition and engagement
  • Monitor clients’ organic search performance, and produce ongoing performance reports measured against ranking, traffic and conversion goals
  • Understand SEO KPIs and deliver key analysis points and solutions derived from client reports
  • Assist in analysis and strategy development for new business proposals
  • Keep abreast of the latest algorithm changes, SEO tools and techniques
  • Understand how to “follow the money” for clients to propose strategies likely to deliver results and ROI
  • Conduct site-wide SEO audits – including technical SEO, keyword/opportunity analysis, content, link profile, and analytics
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking, analysis, and monitoring
  • Track and maintain Online Reputation Management for clients
  • Complete URL strategy for website migrations to maintain existing URL structures
  • Monitor and maintain 301 redirects for client websites

  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks for multiple clients
  • Can accurately track & manage billable and non-billable time
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must not own a black hat
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Current Google Analytics Individual Qualification


Experience
  • 2-3 years of digital marketing/SEO experience demonstrating measurable results
  • Experience with on page optimizations, including title tags, heading tags, meta descriptions, cross linking, appropriate keyword density, etc.
  • Acumen with technical SEO
  • Familiarity with backlinks, their impact on rankings, as well as PageRank and domain authority
  • Knowledgeable with Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools, and other related SEO reporting tools
  • Experience with SEO outreach and tracking tools
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript and how they relate to SEO, as well as knowledge of WordPress.
  • Digital agency experience preferred but others with strong digital marketing experience will be considered
