Job Description
The Marketing Operations Manager is a critical member of the Marketing & Web Operations team within the Marketing function at UserTesting. This role is primarily responsible for leading, managing, optimizing and scaling the marketing operations infrastructure, processes, and database management for insights and weekly reporting using the systems and tools which support our fast-growing Marketing Team.
You’ll integrate strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and cross-functional collaboration to align and execute on our lead strategy. As part of the Marketing Operations team, you’ll partner with our Demand Generation, Sales Operations, Customer Marketing, and Channel Partners teams to enforce our data, campaign, email and reporting strategies and best-practices, and improve processes to be more efficient.
Responsibilities:
- Drive strategy development for the Marketing function in support of the overall company strategy and priorities
- Collaborate with marketing leaders to orchestrate the annual marketing planning process (including budgeting and headcount planning)
- Lead strategic and operational initiatives across marketing and with other functions to drive performance improvements, continuously enhance the impact of marketing and help the company continue along its fast growth trajectory
- Collaborate across functions to structure problems, conduct analyses, and drive to solutions through a rigorous, data-driven process
- Create and manage project plans with clearly defined deliverables and resources, coordinate workstreams and dependencies, track and communicate progress, and identify obstacles and ensure they are addressed
- Partner with marketing leaders to drive the operational cadence of the business and measure and track critical initiatives
- Prepare and coordinate deliverables and reporting for executive discussions (including monthly and quarterly business reviews)
- Help deliver effective change management and communications during the implementation of initiatives
Skills & Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of overall work experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in marketing strategy and operations or related field
- Experience leading complex projects and/or transformation initiatives at a software/tech company or as a management consultant, from framing the problem, conducting research/analysis, building project and operational plans to driving execution and tracking the success.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional environment to deliver results and collaborate comfortably with senior leaders across Marketing, Sales, Finance and other functions
- Understanding of marketing functions in a B2B environment (i.e., field marketing, digital marketing, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to concisely present project deliverables
- Ability to work successfully with little guidance
- Functional knowledge of marketing automation tools (Marketo preferred) and CRM is desirable
- Cross-culturally aware and sensitive to working with global teams.
