Front-end Lead

As the Front-end lead you are the head of all frontend developers which are now comprised of React Developers. You drive efficiency and improve quality by implementing tools, best practices, internal frameworks, components, and standards. You are responsible for setting up technical architecture of products to optimize usability, application performance and overall quality. You are constantly researching the newest tech trends and development techniques to drive constant improvement of our developers and our work.

What you will do:

  • Lead and mentor the FE development team
  • Escalate any technical issues, roadblocks or project risks to the CTO
  • Meet with the CTO on a regular basis to discuss the development of quality measures for the project
  • Provide the relevant development tools to the developers on the team
  • Be responsible for the code being developed by the developers
  • Support the CTO with estimations relating to the specialized areas or components
  • Support the CTO during the strictly technical client meetings related to frontend technologies
  • Be responsible for setting up rules for documenting and follow up check if the rules are fulfilled
  • Be part of the hiring team (technical interview) for the new FE team member

So, what are we looking for?

  • Deep knowledge of JavaScript
  • Strong experience with React.js and its ecosystem (such as Redux)
  • Hands-on coding (CSS in JavaScript is a plus)
  • Focus on usability and application performance
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Motivation to lead frontend community and interest in implementing new trends in development
