Business Development Executive, Telco and Utility

 Urjanet is looking for a seasoned Business Development Executive who is passionate about building relationships with utilities and telecommunications firms.  The BD Executive will engage with major utilities and telco firms throughout North America to create partnerships and explore opportunities to integrate our respective platforms.  To succeed in this role, the BD Executive must be a good listener, creative problem solver, and comfortable acting as an evangelist for Urjanet’s mission to be the utility data provider to the world.
 
 
Roles and Responsibilities
 
●      Develop and execute go to market plan for engaging with target utility and telco accounts
●      Collaborate with target accounts to develop business plans and ROIs around partnership opportunities
●      Coordinate with internal development resources to develop plans to integrate the Urjanet platform with utility and telco billing systems via API
●      Work with Urjanet’s customer success and operations teams to ensure that existing utility and telco integrations are working properly
●      Build and nurture a database of contacts in the utility and telco verticals
●      Record activities and report on progress via Salesforce.com
●      Attend industry events
●      Become the internal domain expert on the utility and telco markets

●      Proven track record in sales and business development
●      Experience in the utility and telco industries
●      Tech-savvy
●      Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
●      High degree of personal accountability towards meeting goals
