Community Manager

We are seeking a full-time Community Manager to join our tight knit team. The position can be in our San Francisco office or remote (like the majority of our team).

  • Work closely with the team to coordinate communication on all of Subnautica’s / Unknown Worlds’ social media channels
  • Grow our community of passionate fans
  • Internal champion for the community’s feedback
  • Manage and attend both online and offline events with the community
  • Manage teams of moderators on our forums and Discord

  • 2+ years of community management and/or social media experience, preferably for a gaming company
  • Experience growing communities on all major social media platforms, including Twitter, YouTube, Discord, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitch
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated, ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good analytical skills
  • Project management expertise and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Eager to contribute in other areas of the company
  • A passion for Unknown Worlds’ games and cultivating a positive, engaged community

  • Video and/or image design and editing skills
  • Fluency in foreign languages
  • Technical skills to aid in collecting feedback from players
  • Marketing experience and the desire to contribute to marketing efforts
