Marketing Director


udelv is a Burlingame, CA-based company using advanced transportation and autonomous driving technologies to reinvent delivery. udelv is the first autonomous driving company to generate revenues from its application. Since launching one of the world’s first self-driving delivery vehicles on public roads in February 2018, udelv has completed 200+ paid deliveries for several unique retailers. udelv dramatically decreases the cost of local deliveries, adds delivery window flexibility, and significantly reduce a city’s carbon footprint. The company is rapidly expanding its operations across the country.


Position Description:

Directs and oversees the organization’s marketing policies, objectives, and initiatives. Creates and disseminates a message of thought-leadership, forward looking product, and industry revolution. Informs next generation of product through client surveys, market analysis and research. Conducts market research and develops marketing plans for specific products, services, or business lines. Reviews changes to the marketplace and industry and adjusts marketing plan accordingly.



  • Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising, and promotional activities
  • Create and coordinate marketing materials, direct mail, sell sheets, and other awareness-building programs designed to promote product
  • Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and budget
  • Create and maintain brand and product awareness internally and externally
  • Plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for products
  • Manage, coordinate, and design booth layout for trade shows
  • Coordinate client and company social events
  • Monitors and controls event budgets and negotiates all necessary contracts
  • Stays abreast of changes in the marketing environment to best serve the objectives of the organization and adjusts plans accordingly
  • Develop website content, look and feel, coordinating with the Web Specialist
  • Develop and maintain an active social media presence
  • Monitor sales and profits and report on product line performance to management, utilize sales analysis skills to understand and report on product and market dynamics
  • Actively participate in policy development, strategy, and setting long term market goals
  • Represent the organization in dealings with other organizations and the general public
  • Work closely with other departments to develop and implement fully integrated marketing plans that help achieve the development organization’s overall goals and objectives
  • Manage vendor relationships with advertising agencies, and other outside professionals
  • Develop and maintain content management database to ensure all marketing materials and presentations updated and current
  • Coordinate with HR Manager in creating internal quarterly EBT newsletter
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the CEO

  • Minimum of 3+ years of successful experience in a marketing and/or sales position
  • MBA in business or marketing required
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Detailed oriented and organized in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent Project Management, negotiation and decision making skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and deal effectively with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels in a fast pace environment
  • Limited travel to attend trade shows
  • Ability to occasionally work in the field to meet with local managers and work with sales team
  • Demonstrated commitment to keeping up with advances in field
  • Track record of success in developing marketing programs and successfully implementing them within an organization
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills including forecasting, sales analysis, and ROI analysis
  • Proven ability to work closely with sales team
  • Knowledge of the principles of marketing and advertising cost-effectiveness, including  market sector targeting, product offer development for consistency within company’s branding and marketing mix
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
