Job Description
You’ll be joining our expanding and ever evolving in-house design team, working in collaboration with teachers, content editors and illustrators, and focusing specifically on our exciting new secondary product, “Beyond Maths”. Our Beyond creative team is split into three unique product packages (English, Maths and Science) which turn teacher created content into stylish and practical resources that are used by educators across the globe. As such, you should be passionate about secondary education, in particular mathematics, and excited to contribute to a market leading, forward-thinking global business.
Typically our maths resources are information-heavy and involve the understanding of symbols and characters. An ideal candidate would have a strong enthusiasm for design layout and editorial design. They would have the ability to bring outside inspiration into their designs to create exciting and innovative concepts that are still both functional and accessible. We aim to create resources that will engage teenagers and encourage their learning.
We are at an interesting juncture in the life of Beyond Maths in which we are innovating a whole new look and feel. You’ll be trained on Beyond Math’s brand style, Agile production methods (such as scrum) and have the opportunity to get involved in a project in its infancy, but with an exciting future.
Please submit a reduced design portfolio (no more than 5 pages) on a PDF with your application so we can understand your skills and suitability. We would ask you to bring a larger portfolio to the Interview.
