Business Development Executive

Salary: £18,000

We’re recruiting for a Business Development Executives (UK) to work  as part of the wider School Sales and Marketing Team. You will work at the heart of Twinkl, growing our School subscriptions. 

You will be responsible for identifying sales leads, qualifying these leads, and converting them into Twinkl subscriptions. With your knowledge and experience in customer service, you will be responsible for increasing the number of Twinkl user Schools, adopting various sales strategies to demonstrate the features and benefits of a Twinkl subscription. 

The sales cycle will include both telephone and email contact to establish, build and develop rapport, and strong relationships with key decision makers. The role may also require you to attend relevant industry events in order to further facilitate the growth of our school's membership. You will work closely with our Schools Marketing Team to ensure the value proposition of a Twinkl subscription is effectively communicated and demonstrated.

You will be a well organised, positive person with a “can do” attitude who will be at the forefront of the Twinkl membership experience, and passionate about offering help and advice to school key decision makers, at all levels, over the phone, via email and in person.

To succeed within this role you will have an excellent telephone manner, fantastic tenacity and determination, demonstrate great grammar and punctuation and easily be able to build rapport on the phone, over email and face to face, with a wide variety of stakeholders and professionals. Core Skills:

• An excellent telephone manner and cheerful disposition

• Good English language skills including punctuation and grammar

• Good IT skills with a knowledge of MSOffice and email systems

• Excited by working with people over the phone and by email

• Have previous experience of working with stakeholders at all levels within organisations and schools

• Confidence with sales and persuasive language

• Resilient 

Beneficial but not essential:

  •  Experience of working with schools or in a school environment

  •  Experience of account management

  • Experience in a sales environment

  •  Understanding of the UK school system

  •  Knowledge of CRM systems

Qualifications & Experience

  • English GCSE Grade C or equivalent minimum

  • Maths GCSE Grade C or equivalent minimum
