We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing team. This is a critical role that goes by many names: Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineer, Supply Chain. Your mission will be to help drive our engineering team’s success by managing our contract manufacturing work. Responsibilities:
- Plan production for contract manufacturing of hardware
- Communicate engineering designs and drawings with contract manufacturer
- Reduce costs of electronic and mechanical supply chains
- Collaborate with engineers moving products from design to production
- Schedule contract manufacturing
- Plan inventory and volume of contract manufacturing
- Project management
- Project lifecycle management
- New product introduction
- Lead ramp up of distribution operations
- Manage budget and forecasting for shipping & logistics
Requirements:
- Some Engineering ability (Engineering degree/coursework, professional experience)
- Evening availability to communicate with contract manufacturers
- Able to clearly state wants and needs with suppliers, manufacturers, and our engineering team
Bonus skills:
- Foreign language skills
- Familiarity with Harmonized codes and international shipping regulations
- Experience with production molds, plastics, enclosures
- Experience with electronics sourcing, procurement, electronic component lifecycles
- Experience with printed circuit board assemblies
