Japanese Speaking Project Manager

We're looking for a tech-savvy Japanese speaking Project Manager to join our growing Customer Team. You will be Tulip’s point person for all things customers in the Japanese market. This means planning, managing and executing strategic customer engagements, as well as owning relationships with key customer stakeholders. Japanese language proficiency is required.

About you

You are curious and excited to learn about new and old technologies powering a modern factory. You are a good communicator and able to speak ‘full-stack’ from front line engineers to c-suite. You are able to google your way out of most problems, and understand that every customer sees the world a bit differently. 

The role:

  • Lead customer engagements with a special focus on the Japanese market
  • Guide and train customers as they incorporate Tulip into their manufacturing operations
  • Own strategic relationships with key customer stakeholders
  • Some travel is expected (estimated 20-30%)

What we’re looking for

  • Japanese language proficiency 
  • BS Degree; engineering (industrial, mechanical, computer science, systems, or similar)
  • Prior experience in manufacturing is a plus
  • Basic coding knowledge is a plus
  • Strong project management and communication skills are essential
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically
  • First-rate time management and organization skills
  • A demonstrated dedication to considering things from the customer’s perspective
  • Aptitude to learn fast and a demonstrated ability to lead by example
