Quality Manager (Wireless Telecom)

TTI is hiring a Quality Manager to join our management team supervised directly by the Company President.

As Quality Manager your main responsibilities include planning, scheduling and conducting installation quality audits for TTI internal installation teams as well as TTI contractor partners, producing a detailed professional report of each site audited. 

Our ideal candidate will have experience working in Cause Analysis, Root Cause Evaluation, Quality Assurance/Control, Training, and Quality/Training Program Development in the Wireless Telecom or Electric Utility industry.

Responsibilities
  • Act as leadership level authority in matters of TTI policy and procedures to deviate as needed (within business guidelines) to ensure Customer Satisfaction
  • Build and deliver training to staff on general TTI Quality Practices as well as Root Cause, Corrective Action and Preventive Action for common defects
  • Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders including customer contacts to stay updated on latest quality standards and expectations, and to correct problems and resolve identified defects.
  • Compose clear and concise reports for effective documentation and communication of issues to appropriate parties, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Engage with staff, subcontractors, system administrators, and network personnel to resolve issues and ensure all necessary processes are adhered to
  • Gather, and analyze quality-related data from production, service, or process improvement activities
  • Implement corrective actions in a timely manner, and ensure documentation of the actions taken and issues worked on are reflected in Defect Corrective Actions (DCAs)
  • Inspect and Audit Civil Ground work, including inspection of all facets of the installation from Construction drawings to cabling requirements per TTI and Customer standards
  • Maintain proficiency and knowledge in all TTI’s products and processes, on a level that will allow the training of others
  • Monitor Critical Quality Targets and other operational metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Provide on-site corrective actions and reduce site re-visits for TTI crews when corrective actions are possible
  • Read, understand, and execute methods of procedures (MOPs) and ensure technical standards are adhered to and mitigate risk of adverse effects on service reliability
  • Report on trends, findings, and suggestions for improvements to TTI’s Operations Management
  • Train and audit on-site integration and activation of new service that includes macro / micro, small cells, distributed antenna systems and network facilities deployed in market.
  • Train and audit turning up of new sites and carrier additions to include handovers and E911 Testing
  • Train and audit use of OTDR, OLTS, and related test equipment to troubleshoot and test fiber.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of Telecom Tower industry experience required
  • 5+ years of LTE installation, commissioning, and integration experience preferred
  • OSHA 10hr certification, 30hr a plus
  • Current ComTrain or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue Required
  • Must have experience installing/troubleshooting waveguide, sector mounts, RRUs, fibers, coax cables, antennas, and microwave dishes
  • Must have experience with PIM, Anritsu Site Master, OTDR-Fiber Testing, Andrews, PPC, tower mapping and antenna equipment
  • Demonstrated management experience including scope management, project scheduling, budgeting, and contracting, along with a successful track record in management of similar projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • Engineering or technical degree preferredEffective and professional communication skills, emphasis on verbal skills
  • Ability to effectively deal with stressful and confrontational situations with customers 
  • Demonstrated ability to create and use Quality Management analytical tools 
  • Ability to multi-task and stay with regular interruptions 
  • Willingness and ability to work with minimal supervision using communication platforms including Asana, Slack, and G Suite
  • Willingness and desire to learn and cross-train in different areas
