Senior Corporate Counsel

We are seeking a talented, proactive experienced corporate and transactional lawyer to join our Legal team at TrustArc, the leading global provider of privacy management solutions. TrustArc has an opening for a senior attorney with at least five years of experience supporting commercial and technology contracts, intellectual property, and other corporate legal matters. You will be part of a collaborative department of attorneys, policy, data governance, and compliance professionals who provide a broad range of support across the company. You will report to the SVP, Privacy Intelligence, and General Counsel and will be a key partner to Sales, Finance, Human Resources, Business Development, and our Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
Your Job
You will be responsible for:
- Timely drafting, reviewing, and negotiating master service agreements, supplier agreements, technology licensing agreements, consulting agreements, strategic partner agreements, employment-related agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other commercial agreements.
- In coordination with other members of the team, reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contract terms and amendments related to privacy and data protection, including, but not limited to DPAs.
- Overseeing our third-party risk management program for privacy and related compliance purposes, leveraging our own platform for vendor and partner assessments and related activities, and collaborating closely with our Program Manager on contract management.
- Serving as the legal point of contact for reviewing RFPs and collaborating closely with our CISO and Sales on timely responses to RFPs.
- Coordinating with other members of the team, Product, Marketing, and Sales on management and timely updates to Sales orders and alignment with proposals.
- Managing updates to our Subscription Services Agreement and other contract templates.
- Supporting the SVP, Privacy Intelligence and General Counsel on other corporate governance, labor and employment, intellectual property, product, financing, and other legal matters as needed
Your Skills and Experience
- J.D. required and licensed to practice in California or another U.S. state
- Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience, including prior in house legal or law firm experience
