Applanix, a Trimble company is seeking a Business Development Manager (Autonomous Market) to support global sales activities with emphasis in North America.
The Business Development Manager for the Autonomous Market Segment is responsible for coordinating, managing, and executing all Business Development activity and strategies for the Applanix Autonomous Product Portfolio to defined market segments identified in the Land Products Long Range Business Plan.
a. Collaborates with the Land Business Director and Sales Managers in establishing and recommending the most realistic application areas to develop new autonomous vehicle markets for the company. Participates in the development of the Applanix Autonomous market segment Long Range Planning.
b. Establishes application/domain specific strategies for Autonomous Products and is an active advocate working with sales and or regional distribution partners. These strategies are expected to remain in line with the regional business plans and determine the objectives for product distribution, how new customers and business will be developed, identifies channel partners and provides insights to new product developments.
c. Educates existing sales and reseller channels by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new product, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies and competitive strategies.
d. Educates existing Sales and Channel Partners and provides guidance as to how new autonomy products aids in increasing sales in emerging market areas.
e. Represents the Applanix/Trimble organization in external business relationships with sales and channel partners, distribution and customers so that the strategic messaging is communicated clearly.
f. This position is accountable for new Business and Product Development defined in the annual Long Range Plan and how it contributes to the Business Line and Sales Forecast.
a. Minimum of 10 years Business Development or Product Management experience preferably in the Industrial Automation (Mining, Construction, Automotive) with deep domain experience in key market segments.
b. Strong account management and relationship building skills
c. Extensive (10+ Year) Experience with growing and managing a Product Portfolio
d. Degree in Business
e. Expectation of 40% + Travel Worldwide
