This Opportunity:
 
The SketchUp Engineering team in Boulder, CO is looking for a highly skilled, highly motivated software engineer. The position is a member of the SketchUp Skore (SketchUp Core) Development team, which is a team at SketchUp that is responsible for the core library that will be instrumental in taking the product to the next level where support for AR and VR will be as important as the standard desktop.

Primary Duties:

  • Develop common code using one or more of the following technologies:
    • C++
    • OpenGL, Metal, and DirectX
  • Collaborate with developers on our team and on other teams 
  • Add features collaboratively designed with the Product Manager
  • Work with QA to help test your code

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience developing rich graphical applications
  • Experience in C++ and other Object Oriented Programming 
  • Windows and/or Mac OS X client development
  • Experience and/or strong interest in design, graphics, 3D software
  • Familiarity with common commercial software development best practices
  • A test-driven development mentality 

Preferred Skills:

  • One or more of the following Language/UI Framework combinations:
    • C++/MFC
    • Objective-C/Cocoa
  • Graphics programming with OpenGL, Metal, and DirectX
  • Scripting languages such as Ruby and Python
  • Mobile development experience with iOS, Android, or UWP
  • Familiarity with computational geometry 
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence
