Sales Engineer (Denver / Remote, CO / Remote MT / Remote PT)

Trimble is on the search for their next Technical Sales Engineer.  This position can be in the greater Denver area -OR- anywhere remote in Mountain Time Zone / Pacific Time Zone.  The group this position supports specializes in 3D Laser Scanning and Mixed Reality Solutions within our Buildings division.  You will be responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle, as well as helping to ensure customer satisfaction.  This technically-skilled individual will collaborate with the regional sales team and channel partners to promote Trimble’s 3D laser scanning and mixed reality solutions across each of the Buildings’ verticals.  You will employ your industry experience and product knowledge to articulate the benefits to the customer and drive adoption across North America.  The key responsibility will be to work closely with the sales team and distribution partners to schedule and assist with sales presentations, demonstrate the hardware and software, and effect closure of sales opportunities.    

 Specific Responsibilities 
·       Prepare and deliver technical sales demonstrations for our 3D laser scanning solutions explaining the benefits to the customer as it relates to their trade specialty within construction 
·       Develop and prepare sales presentations and new technology demonstrations for the sales team that highlight product specifications and applications 
·       Support sales individuals to understand the more technical aspects our 3D laser scanning and mixed reality solutions and how they can solve specific customer problems 
·       Identify, evaluate and recommend proof of concept opportunities 
·       Document procedures, workflows and best practices for data post-processing and modeling 
·       Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations 
·       Participate in tracking key construction projects for sales opportunities 
·       Host educational webinars for customers on the operation and use of 3D laser scanning and mixed reality solutions, specifically focused on the integration with software 
·       Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses 
·       Keep up-to-date with market trends and new developments in the industry 
·       Create and maintain detailed and current customer records using company designated CRM software 
·       Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences 
·       Call and visit customers to monitor product satisfaction and create positive company image 
·       Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information 
·       Attend sales and trade meetings, and read related publications in order to obtain information about market conditions, business trends, and industry developments 
·       Complete expense reports, sales reports, and other paperwork in a timely manner 
·       Complete product and development certification and training as required 
·       Provide feedback to company's product design team so that products can be tailored to clients' needs 
·       Perform other related duties as the business requires 

Travel 
·      Up to 75% 

Industry Knowledge 
·      3D laser scanning experience
·      Mixed Reality, Hololens experience is a plus
·      AutoCAD and Revit experience 
·      Experience in the Buildings’ trades 
·      Knowledge of industry processes and procedures 
·      Knowledge of construction means and methods for construction trades 
·      Knowledge of Building Construction markets and applications
