Position Overview
 

Automation Infrastructure - 60%
  • As a Subject Matter Expert, own the overall technical roadmap of automation solutions in collaboration with development and QA teams
  • Author and present to leadership innovative, value-driven, test process improvements that would help maximize testing efficiency and increase product quality 
  • Experience building, establishing, enhancing and maintaining test automation frameworks
  • Be research savvy and a subject matter expert of current industry-wide quality and test processes, tools and technologies
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and/or Continuous Deployment

Project Delivery - 20%
  • Lead and manage the automation efforts and resources across multiple projects
  • Provide regular updates of all automation projects
  • Recognizes under-performing projects, resources constraints, determine and drive solutions 
  • Ability to provide value justification for resource additions; technology and/or people 

Leadership - 20%
  • Act as a trusted advisor to management, perform assessments, develop solutions and drive forward innovation to lead the automation infrastructure strategy, creating accountability to ensure that the automation goals are met
  • Eagerness to lead and mentor less experienced team members; QA best practices, technical training and guidance, prioritization, problem solving, and value proposition
  • Business accum; understand business needs, ability to apply business value to automation efforts
  • Proactively build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
  • A leader that has the ability to strategically balance a broad range of tasks and priorities
  • Ability to make the important trade-offs between perfection and complexity 

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Math preferred, or equivalent technical experience accepted
  • 10+ years’ experience in software testing or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience architecting test automation frameworks
  • Experience with object-oriented programming; python preferred
  • Experience testing Internet Of Things (IoT)
  • Experience with embedded software testing
  • A passion for quality assurance and automation
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing and documenting software test automation frameworks
  • Tenacity and technical brilliance to provide highly-credible leadership to automation team
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team to have accountability toward accomplishing set goals
  • Strong analytical problem solving and decision making skills and to fluidly change context and priorities based on changing business needs
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude that understands the importance of strong team collaboration and communicate
 

Preferred SKills:
  • Agile/Software Development experience a plus
  • Knowledge in fleet mobility and transportation industry
