This Opportunity
We are looking for an energetic and experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to work with teams implementing an eCommerce solution. The ideal candidate is someone who is a self-starter that can drive the organization and completion of their work, engaging teams and individuals across the globe, and ensuring their work follows good engineering practices.  At Trimble we value individuals who have excellent people skills as well as being technically proficient.  

  • Testing of an eCommerce and subscription based system within an Agile development environment.  This includes all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including new and updated business functionality and maintenance and defect resolution.
  • Development and execution of both manual and automated test plans that cover the end-to-end experience of our users.
  • Coordination and communication with internal and external teams to help facilitate the development and release of software.
  • Identifying and implementing needed automated tests and regression tests to ensure end-to-end eCommerce applications quality
  • Integrated testing between the different applications to ensure cohesive flow
  • Localization validation of all eCommerce applications to ensure end-to-end localization flow works

As a QA Engineer, you will participate in the creation of test plans, test cases, defect tracking tools, test strategy, running tests, ensuring good engineering practices by the team.

Education / Experience:

Must have:
  • Minimum of 3+ years of technical experience in a software quality assurance role
  • You have working experience in testing in an Agile development environment 
  • You have a strong interest in End-to-End manual testing / automation testing
  • Attention to Detail: You have strong attention to detail and are able to think creatively and analytically
  • Self-Starter: You are proactive in organizing your work and flexible 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English and superb organization skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Preferred: B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field with 3 years of technical experience in software.

Nice to have:
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in eCommerce QA
  • Collaboration: you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with global teams
  • Proficiency in Selenium or other UI automation frameworks
  • Proficiency in Test Automation design and its implementation
  • Experience with Jira
  • Experience with localization based testing.
  • Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

Job duties:
  • Develop software test plans and test cases, testing and troubleshooting problems
  • Partner with subject matter experts and engineers to understand test case business requirements and apply that knowledge when developing tests of your own design
  • Participate in the software development process and report issues in our defect tracking system (JIRA).
  • Provide additional information to the development team to expedite debugging
  • Other duties as assigned
