Position Overview:

Trimble Transportation, Inc. is currently looking for a Database Developer and Administrator.   Configure, develop, test, troubleshoot, benchmark and optimize DB2 UDB databases. Performance optimization of Dynamic SQL, Stored Procedures, Functions and Triggers. Perform tasks in test and production databases for development and support purposes. Create and enhance tools that relate to DB maintenance, migrations and administration. Provide sound architectural database guidance to Business Analysts and Developers. Assist development and support staff at a tier-3 support level 
Minimum Qualifications: 
·         Experience with configuring and managing relational databases (DB2 UDB on Windows experience preferred) 
·         Experience with optimizing complex SQL (Dynamic, Stored Procedures and Triggers) 
·         Experience with database migrations/upgrades and the warnings and errors that arise 
·         Experience creating and extending complicated and very large schemas 
·         Object-oriented development 
·         Familiarity and experience with architectural design 
·         Troubleshooting and supporting ERP systems

·         Ability to work independently, as well as with development and support staff 
·         Excellent written and oral communication skills 
·         Excellent interpersonal skills 
·         Enjoys the challenges of a high-energy environment where there are frequent changes and additions to                  the software products Trimble develops

Physical Requirements: 
·         Constant and close visual work at desk or computer 
·         Constant sitting and working at desk 
·         Frequent verbal and written communication with team and other business associates by telephone, correspondence, or in person 
·         Frequent lifting of folders, files, binders and other objects weighing up to 20 lbs. 
·         Frequent opening and closing of heavy file drawers 
·         Occasional bending and stooping to pick up boxes and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. 
·         Frequent walking and standing 
·         Occasional driving of automobiles 
Travel Required:  5%
